Rakesh Baruah

Rakesh is currently the Showrunner's Assistant on the prime-time CBS drama Blue Bloods. He holds an MFA in Screenwriting/Directing from Columbia University in New York and a bachelors in American History and Gender Studies from Northwestern. His parents emigrated from Darjeeling, near the border of Bhutan, to the United States in 1975. Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, Rakesh now lives in New York City. In addition to writing, directing, and working with actors, Rakesh loves singing, dancing, songwriting, and musical theater.

Producer

Susanna LoCascio

Susanna is a creative producer and film writer. She has worked in development for Green Hummingbird Entertainment and Parts & Labor Films, and as the Production Manager and 2nd Assistant Director of the Spirit Award nominated film "She's Lost Control." Susanna has worked on short and feature film productions in all five boroughs of New York City as well as San Francisco and Austin, and internationally in Ghana and Germany. She also writes film reviews for the websites Hammer To Nail and Tiny Mix Tapes, and has covered festivals including SXSW, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Tribeca Film Festival. Susanna has a BA in Government from Georgetown University, an MA in American Studies from NYU, and an MFA in Film from Columbia University, and was a recipient of the 2015 Marcie Bloom Fellowship in Film. A long-time New Yorker, Susanna lives in Queens and is currently obsessed with the East River ferry, the Chinese food courts in Flushing, and The Metrograph Theater.

Arlen Konopaki

Arlen Konopaki is a New York City based writer, director and cinematographer. Originally from Canada, his films have screened at festivals around the world including the Toronto International Film Festival. Arlen's work has been featured on IFC.com, My Damn Channel, Hot97.com and Buzzfeed and he has recently written digital content for Condé Nast Entertainment. He is a Canadian Comedy Award recipient for his short film work and has been nominated three additional times for his live performances and short films. Arlen is a graduate of the University of Alberta where he received his BFA in Acting and is working on his thesis in pursuit of his MFA in Film Directing at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Costume/Production Designer

Mar Urrestarazu

Based in New York City, Mar is a Scenic and Production Designer with a passion for space and its relationship with the characters and stories that inhabit it.

To Mar, collaboration with the whole team is essential to making the best out of a production. Being persistent and developing the concept from beginning to end is what she loves of her profession.

Mar grew up in between New York and Madrid. She has an architectural background and holds an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in Design for Stage and Film.

Emma Myers

Emma Myers is a film journalist and publicist based in NYC. As a writer, she has contributed reviews, interviews, features, and festival coverage to publications such as FILM COMMENT, INDIEWERE, THE DAILY BEAST, THE ATLANTIC, BROOKLYN MAGAZINE, and VICE BROADLY. She has worked on publicity campaigns independently as well as for Brigade Marketing and Cinelicious Pics including John Watt’s COP CAR, Alex Ross Perry’s QUEEN OF EARTH and Eiichi Yamamoto’s lost animated masterpiece, BELLADONNA OF SADNESS.

Carl Vasile

Carl was 12 years old when he made his first short film starring his beloved Star Wars action-figure collection. Fast forward to the present, he is now an editor at Nutmeg, a premier NYC creative house for film and tv, cutting and producing produce large-scale campaigns for clients such as Nickelodeon, Syfy and Food Network in addition to numerous films, documentaries and music videos. He is also a musician, photographer, world traveler and committed to growing out his beard.

Composer

Meng-Mei Kuo

Originally from Taiwan, Meng-Mei is a composer for film and multimedia. Her work includes various music genres and styles. Before she came to New York, Meng-Mei composed and arranged music for TV dramas. She has participated in over 30 TV series productions. Her music has been broadcast by many TV channels in Taiwan as well as in China such as Sanlih E-Television Inc., China Television company, Ltd., Taiwan Television Enterprise, Ltd., and Anhui Satellite TV.

Currently based in New York, Meng-Mei has received her second Masters degree in Scoring for Film and Multimedia at New York University with Sonny Kompanek and Mark Suozzo. She completed her first Masters degree in piano performance from the National Taiwan Normal University. Meng-Mei not only plays for solo recitals but also collaborate with other musicians. Her passion for music has led her to work with many contemporary composers.

Joanne Park

Joanne Mony Park is a Korean-American filmmaker from Los Angeles, CA. She is currently based in New York City receiving her MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Art’s film program where she was one of the finalists for the Bahnemann Cinematography Award in 2015. Her past films have screened at Edinburgh International Film Festival, Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival, San Diego Asian Film Festival, and the Korean American Film Festival in New York. She is currently working as the branded content video producer for Glamour while developing her first feature film.
